About Harris & Brun

Our lawyers and staff are known for their excellence, professionalism, tenacity, civility and collegiality.

Harris & Brun was founded on July 1, 1984 by Lyle Harris and Robert Brun, starting in a small office on West Broadway. Very shortly thereafter, the firm included Janet Atkinson, who was a partner from 1984 to 1992 and Jane Whiteley, who was a partner from 1984 to 1986.

In 1987, Lina Giustra joined the firm. She had previously articled in Nova Scotia and was called to the bar of that province in 1986. A change of direction called her back to her native B.C. where she re-articled with Harris & Brun, and was called to the B.C. bar in 1988.

Peter Collins joined the firm in 1999, and was in-house counsel for ICBC, before returning to private practice. In 2005, Narv Gill joined the firm after practicing with a large Vancouver law firm.

At present the firm occupies two floors in the Randall Building at 555 West Georgia Street, where we have been since 1992. The firm takes great pride in the longevity of its relationship with many of its members and employees. A number of our employees and counsel have been with us for over 10 years, and several for over 20.
